Josh Dolin
Josh Dolin was a two sport athlete in his youth, however once that chapter of his life ended, he needed an outlet for his hyper-competitive nature. Oddly enough, he found that outlet in fishing. His father and grandparents introduced fishing into his life as a child, but once he finally traded the football pads for fishing rods full time, his passion for angling grew at a rapid pace. He cut his teeth in the world of kayak angling, eventually gaining notoriety for chasing big fish in the small plastic paddle crafts.

He has spent the last decade chasing trophy fish in his home state of Virginia, participating in the Virginia Master Angler program in which an angler has to catch a trophy caliber fish in 30 different species. To date, no one has ever completed the task. Josh sits at 24 trophy species caught with the potential to become the first to reach this angling apex. In May of 2022 he captured his first record caliber fish. The 3 pound 9 ounce Fallfish was the new Virginia State Record as well as the largest ever caught for the species, making it the new IGFA All Tackle World Record as well. He prides himself on the challenge of finding the fish that don’t want to be found and catching the fish that don’t want to be caught.
