13 Year Old Lands Massive Swordfish

A father and son duo from North Carolina have landed a massive Swordfish off of the coast of the Outer Banks. 38-year-old Michael Tickle and his 13-year-old son Kelson were fishing out of Beaufort Inlet on December 29, 2022, when Kelson hooked up with a fish of a lifetime. With the help of his father and their boat mate Zach Grantham, the teen fought the fish for 5 1/2 hours while 60 miles off of the North Carolina coast. After an arduous battle the fish was landed and taken back to the scales for weighing. They took the fish to Big Rock Landing Marina in Morehead City, NC where the fish tipped the scales at an astounding 560 pounds! An average Swordfish weighs in at around 200 pounds, so needless to say this teen has quite the fish story to tell for years to come!
